I'm scared. OTL;;;; Help?

  • Mar. 7th, 2008 at 3:06 PM

I just found contrail on ebay, and it's gonna be shipped to my US address. '-'
I bought a lot of stuff through a deputy service, unfortunately, one is about to hit "30 days" storage, and needs to be moved out soon.

Thing is..

I'm REALLY REALLY PARANOID AND SUSPICIOUS of the MAILING SYSTEM HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES.

Those bastards at the post office STEAL your items whether it's insured or not.
And I JUST can't have the doujinshi I bought get stolen just like..THAT. :<
And to make things even worse, I don't even live in Manila (which decreases your chances of it being stolen) ...

Shipping to the US is safe, I'm confident in that, especially if you use tracking service..
But here, NO MATTER WHAT YOU USE, there's still 60% chance of it being stolen.

So what do you recommend?
I have them shipped to my US address, and have my relatives forward it to me,
or..

Take the chance and use EMS (the safest and most secure one, BUT still not foolproof) and have it directly shipped to me?

I'm going to have 2 batches of shipments... To test each one out. :< But if I can avoid that, I WILL. (I DON'T WANT MY PIGEON DOUJIN STOLEN.. PLEASE NOT THAT ONE. ;__________;)

Advice would be appreciated.

Well if people in the Philippines are going to steal your stuff, send it to the US. S' what I would do in your situation. :)

XD;; If only my relatives could pay for the extra shipping. XD;;

I've always heard of gadgets or anything worth $100 charged a LOT for taxes, but I haven't heard of stolen books..

or stolen printed material..

yet.. (unless it was airmail D: )

Ah tax ... I forgot about that. I've never been charged it, thankfully.

Can you pay for the extra shipping? Then would they agree?
